When is Amsterdam Light Festival 2026/2027?
Edition 15 runs from Thursday 26 November 2026 until Sunday 17 January 2027.
Does Edition 15 have a theme?
No. Edition 15 has no fixed theme; it is the fifteenth edition and marks fifteen years of light art in Amsterdam. Each artist brings their own perspective on the city.
How long does a cruise take?
Sixty to seventy-five minutes, along a route of about five kilometres.
What does an Amsterdam Light Festival cruise cost?
An open boat is € 29,75 (children 4–12 years € 14,90). A closed, heated boat including drinks is € 39,75. Private boats on request.
Where do the boats depart from?
From the centre of Amsterdam, within walking distance of Amsterdam Centraal. The exact address is stated on your ticket.
Do I need a ticket for the festival itself?
No. The light artworks are free to admire from the public space. Only cruises and guided walks are ticketed.
How many artworks do you see from the boat?
Edition 15 counts twenty light artworks. The sailing route passes the installations that were designed for the water — we publish the full overview per work as soon as the festival announces the locations.
